Philipp Ebeling's '10 Minutes, One Afternoon in Whitechapel' is a strikingly beautiful series of snapshots taken during a short-lived snowfall in London, capturing the vanity of a surprising moment. Philipp Ebeling was winner of the 2004 Observer Hodge Photographic Award.

Series found in Foam Magazine #16 'Talent', which is the outcome of an extensive examination of over 300 portfolios that have been sent to the editors in response to the talent call-out. Works of photographers aged 35 or under from 46 different countries have been examined, and a selection of 12 artists have been gathered.

Guardians: Russian art museum guards

Andy Freeberg is a San Francisco artist who is intensively interested in the act of showing art in galleries and museums. This fascination comes across in his series "Guardians", where he focuses on the female guards in Russian art museums. As Freeberg notes, "the presence of the women becomes an inherent part of viewing the artwork itself".

Poladroid is a fun, easy to use app that seeks to replicate the classic instant-camera look that everyone loves and misses. The handling is pretty simple, just an easy drag and drop of a picture file to the app icon and after a few shakes you get a great polaroidesque shot. It’s a fun app and an easy way to get the Polaroid effect applied to an image. Check it out and download it at poladroid.net (currently only available for Mac OS X).

Pimp my walker

My Christmas wish: Customized Hasbro Star Wars vehicle customized by professional Graffiti artists EASE and JK5 under the direction of SUCKADELIC. All tags are written in the Aurebesh language, a fictional letter system created for the in-world use for the 6 Star Wars films. The largest tag on the side of the vehicle spells the word REBEL.

Deko + Munition

In this book of postcards, Peter Piller presents a collection of photographs found on eBay using the search terms Deko + Munition (ammunition + decor). Each photograph has been taken by an eBay seller auctioning off ammunition cartridges. In keeping with their stated purpose as home decorations, each cartridge is lovingly portrayed in the sellers' living rooms. Over the last few years, Piller has been collecting these images for his archive and is now making them accessible for the first time in this selection of postcards.

Photos of every corner in Manhattan

Designer Richard Howe worked for two years to photograph all 11,000+ street corners in Manhattan:

"The Manhattan Street Corners is my working title for a project to produce a comprehensive photographic portrait of everyday life at street level in daytime Manhattan. Between March and November, 2006, I systematically photographed each and every one of the island’s roughly 11,000 street corners (the exact number is a matter of definition and, in some ambiguous instances, even a matter of judgment)." Fotomuseum Winterthur: Walter Pfeiffer

Walter Pfeiffer (*1946 Beggingen, lebt in Zürich) ist schon lange ein Untergrundklassiker. Seine einzigartige Mischung von Erotik und Witz, klassischem Ebenmass und ornamentaler Verspieltheit, Künstlichkeit und Unmittelbarkeit fand in den letzten Jahren zusehends internationale Beachtung. Das Fotomuseum Winterthur zeigt vom 29.11.2008 bis 15.02.2009 eine chronologische Übersicht von Pfeiffers fotografischem Schaffen über vier Jahrzehnte, von den frühen 1970er Jahren zu seinen jüngsten Werken.
